Louisa Herridge is an award-winning, five-time best-selling author, TEDx speaker, and the founder of Louisa Herridge Publishing.

Known as The Expert Writing Coach, she empowers business owners and creatives to harness the power of their story and expertise—guiding them to plan, write and publish books that build authority and drive meaningful impact.

Louisa’s business began with a defining act of courage. After coming through domestic abuse, she made a decision to reclaim her voice and share her story—contributing to a book collaboration in 2020. That experience didn’t just change her relationship with storytelling; it showed her how truth shared from a position of strength can unlock confidence and create permission for others to be brave too.

At the time, Louisa was working in education, with 16 years’ experience in secondary schools including roles such as Head of Year, Head of English, and Literacy Across the Curriculum Lead, alongside a Master’s degree in Television and Radio Scriptwriting. But the clarity she found through storytelling became a catalyst: she chose purpose over familiarity and left teaching in 2021 to fully follow the work she felt called to do—helping others use their lived experience and expertise to lead, not hide.

Today, Louisa works with clients as an expert writing coach, taking them from method to manuscript. She believes most business owners already have a book ready to launch—they just need the structure, confidence and strategy to bring it to life. Her philosophy is simple and bold: Story + expertise = superpower, and a book is one of the most powerful ways to share that superpower with the people who need it.

Through Louisa Herridge Publishing, Louisa and her specialist team support authors to publish with passion and precision—from strategic planning to professional editing, formatting, and cover design.
